It's worth noting that 70% of the carbon impact of a textile product comes from the energy used in its manufacture.
By choosing Vosges Terre Textile-certified linen, i.e. linen that has been manufactured in our own workshops or in collaboration with local companies, you are choosing a textile with a carbon footprint that is 50% lower than that of an imported product.

Together, for sustainable, easy-care household linen
Water is a natural resource that is indispensable on Earth but also throughout the life of linen, from weaving to caring for it in your home.
In our factories
- We regulate the humidity of our textile factory, ensuring that the cotton yarns remain supple with vaporisers.
- Water, which is mainly used in finishing the linen (in various chemical treatments), is monitored six times a day to guarantee the quality of our emissions and ensure the balance of our ecosystem.
- We create items from organic cotton and recycled fibres, as well as products that can be simply wiped clean with a sponge or that don't need ironing.
- Finally, to encourage you, too, to take care of linen and water, we have developed a 100% plant-based and biodegradable washing liquid.
Here are some of our easy-care products made from recycled materials:
- Mille Shells Zinc tablecloth,
a jacquard voile tablecloth that doesn't need ironing. - Green Sweet organic cotton damask tablecloth
for easy care: no regular washing required. - Versus throw made in organic cotton + organic wool and recycled polyester
Garnier-Thiebaut uses its expertise in jacquard to make original French throws without any chemical treatment!

Together, giving a second life to our products
We believe that throwing something away is never the best solution. Instead of getting rid of leftover yarns and fabric offcuts, we give them a new lease of life:
- we gladly donate them to local charities, who in turn add value to them.
- we repurpose them by transforming fabric scraps into beautiful reusable gift bags, available to you in the shop as well as on our website.
- we support and encourage the creativity of talented young designers, such as Vosges designer Maïa Mentrel, who transforms our offcuts into pieces of jewellery, decorative objects and craft kits for children.
