Garnier-Thiebaut is extremely proud to shine among the unmissable references selected by Cheval Blanc Paris in Samaritaine. The know-how of the Vosges (France) company is illustrated in the 26 rooms of the hotel as well as on the Restaurants tables “Le Plénitude” and “Le tout Paris”.
The opening of this brand-new Parisian setting in the emblematic Samaritaine building is certainly the most anticipated of the year.
Art Deco and Crafts
Installed within the Art Deco Masterpiece designed by Henri Sauvage in 1928, the new Cheval Blanc Paris house is a place full of poetry and steeped in history. The architects Peter Marino and Edouard François imagined this place as a hymn to art and craftmanship. The recognized know-how of Garnier-Thiebaut rubs shoulders with the greatest marble craftsmen, gilders, ironworkers and stonemasons to create a unique place where art is expressed in all its forms.
An exceptional scene for original Garnier-Thiebaut creations
Ideally located in the centre of Paris and in Parisians heart, the new Samaritaine will be an ode of the French art of living. A true heaven of peace in the midst of this Parisian effervescence, Cheval Blanc will offer a delicious moment of luxury placed under the sign of original creations.
Peter Marino has designed tailor-made furniture and chose unique objects for each of the 26 rooms. The bed linen, exclusively woven for Cheval Blanc Paris, are also the result of unprecedented creative work.
The “H” monogram, woven on the cotton satin bed linen, is a nod to the architecture and history of the Samaritaine. Very present on the wrought iron gates of the time, this letter becomes a true visual signature: duvet cover, bath mat, candles, shower gel….
Bernard Arnault has been personally invested in the bed linen choice.
To select the most luxurious and comfortable set, he asked to spend 3 nights in 3 different bed sets without knowing their differences at first.
His blind choice fell for the most sumptuous set there is: its fabric has no less than 600 threads per inch2.

Garnier-Thiebaut and the Cheval Blanc House
Cheval Blanc Paris belongs to the LVMH group, the exceptional luxury house is expanding with a fifth address opening: Cheval Blanc Paris. All Cheval Blanc hotels share the same fundamental values: exclusivity, attention to detail, creativity and the Art of hospitality.
In its own way, Garnier-Thiebaut is happy to contribute to the unique experience offered by these prestigious establishments. Its know-how is also represented in three other Maisons of the group: St Tropez, Courchevel and St Barth Isle de France.
Refined Tables
The culinary art will also occupy a prominent place in this house. For a complete sensory experience, Garnier-Thiebaut creations are also invited to the tables of the two restaurants of Cheval Blanc Hotel.
Le Plénitude
On the first floor, the finest gourmets will taste the high-level cuisine of chef Arnaud Donckele, previously awarded three Michelin stars at Cheval Blanc St Tropez.
Here, the tables are set with refined table linen: 100% linen, hand-embroidered and frame with a ladder stitch. Napkins, placemats and cutlery pockets are all adorned with feathers and nuts embroidered in gold, white and silver thread.
Le Tout Paris
Once reaching the seventh floor, the most nostalgic of us will find all flavours of greatest Parisians brasseries at the restaurant “Le tout Paris”. The green 650m2 terrace will offer an ideal viewpoint to admire and taste Paris as we like.
Cheval Blanc Paris team wanted table linen in perfect harmony with their dishes. The weaving of tablecloths and napkins uses an emblematic design straight out from Garnier-Thiebaut’s achieves and specially reinterpreted for Cheval Blanc Paris.
This drawing, borrowed from the “Café de l’Est”, takes us back to the 1930s Parisians brasseries world.
