To preserve the loft, comfort and natural qualities of your duvet and pillow over time, a few simple care steps are all that is needed.

Before first use, remove the product from its packaging at least 24 hours in advance to allow it to fully regain its volume. On a daily basis, shake it regularly to evenly distribute the filling, and reverse the duvet head-to-foot twice a month. Frequent airing is also recommended: on sunny days, place it in fresh air several times a year (never hang it on a clothesline). Washing should remain occasional.

A duvet protected by a cover does not require frequent washing: cleaning once or twice a year is sufficient, including pillows. Always follow the care instructions on the product label. Pillows can be washed in a standard washing machine, while duvets require a large-capacity machine, either in a launderette or by a professional. Use a liquid detergent, which rinses more easily, and carry out several rinse cycles to remove any residue.

Drying is a key step and must be gentle, long (minimum 4 hours) and complete to avoid any remaining moisture. Insufficient drying may damage the product. To restore the natural filling’s loft, the use of two to three dryer balls in the tumble dryer is strongly recommended.
